North Energy has been commissioned by a major blue chip company to assess the feasibility of a number of industrial and rural wind energy sites for development of wind energy – particularly for small to medium scale turbines. As part of this process, North Energy welcome approaches from parties who may have suitable industrial or rural sites for on-site generation of wind energy.

2010-07-20 : Cutting carbon across the North

In recently completed energy efficiency audits on behalf of the Carbon Trust for clients from the health, hotel, retails, manufacturing sectors "easy wins" and typical 20% savings on annual enery costs have been achieved!

North Energy has successfully completed a number of energy efficiency Opportunity Assessments for clients, commissioned by the Carbon Trust. Recent clients have included: a major car component supplier, one of the UK’s largest coffin makers, an NHS Primary Care Trust, a local authority depot, a timber sawmill, a luxury hotel and a district shopping centre. In all cases “easy wins” have been found, and, with some modest investment, typical savings of at least 20% of annual energy costs can usually be achieved.

2010-03-24 : North Energy signs CEO Charter

North Energy are pleased to announce that the company has signed up to the UKRC’s (UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology) CEO Charter.

Established to encourage and reward good practice in employers who have already demonstrated support for the participation of women in SET (Science, Engineering and Technology), the Charter was set up in 2007 and has already been signed by over 200 companies.
